1&1 Removes Traffic Limits On Web Hosting Plans

Web Host 1 & 1 Internet (www.1and1.com) has removed the limit of all traffic on the web hosting plans for customers no longer have to worry about their allowances monthly traffic.

According to 1 & 1 is the announcement Wednesday, all web hosting packages offer an unlimited data volume of page impressions, downloads and uploads, giving its shared hosting solutions with greater flexibility.

The offer unlimited traffic extends to customers in any shared hosting, online store, or a combination package, ensuring that any website hosted at 1 & 1 can continue to function optimally, as the site’s popularity grows.

Earlier this month, 1 & 1, the traffic limits loosened in its “Home”, “Business”, “Business Pro” and “Developing” shared hosting packages and updated its web storage space by up to five times. In promoting the newly upgraded packages, 1 & 1 offers each package half price for a limited time.

Offering an ‘unlimited’ services to customers of millions of tax may well the infrastructure of the company, however, this offer is based on the fact that most sites do not come close to their traffic limits. And while the tactic of “overselling” shared hosting, which some see as a dubious practice, can not, in fact, at millions of users running applications, high-bandwidth, 1 & 1 is likely to account offering some users use the “unlimited” it offers, while others simply running websites that would normally have.

Moreover, the “Unlimited” label is a marketing strategy that plays on the aspirations of the customers that their simple website that will someday be visited by millions of people.
