Compuware Acquires Gomez for $295M

Application performance management software company Compuware (www.compuware.com) announced Wednesday it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Web application experience management costs Gomez (www.gomez.com) for $ 295 million in cash.Together, Compuware and Gomez will provide IT and business executives a solution to optimize the performance of business applications.The companies say they offer a unified view of application performance across the enterprise and Internet, troubleshooting and resolution of the entire enterprise and Internet, and a proven solution with the existing integration, delivered through a cost model SaaS.“Together, Compuware and Gomez provide the industry’s only unified solution Application Performance Management covering Business and Internet,” said Compuware President and Chief Operating Officer Bob Paul. “For business and IT executives who are moving business critical applications on the Internet, Compuware can now offer unified visibility, isolating and resolving performance issues for data center applications to customers. Offers competition apply only to isolated parts of the Enterprise – the delivery of Internet applications in the chain. “Headquartered in Lexington, Massachusetts, Gomez has 272 employees worldwide. All of these employees, including the leadership team, are expected to continue with Compuware after completing the acquisition.The addition of Gomez, who offers his bid through a software as a service model, boosting the income of SaaS Compuware to help it become a world leader in infrastructure management SaaS provider, the company says.Gomez recently provided some of the best brands in China with the performance and availability of testing and inspection to optimize the Web and mobile applications to end users across China.The companies have also prepared a presentation, available on the website of Compuware, the details of the acquisition.The deal is expected to close in November, pending government approvals and satisfaction of other customary conditions.
