Digg and Facebook attract Loyal Readers
It is a fact that the faithful, repeat users happy website owners, but can often be difficult to attract them. A study by the online advertising network Chitika just out suggests that the two best sources can be a combination of Digg and Facebook. The study, based on a sample of 33 million unique users through advertising network, Chitika in September 2009, compared with the number of visitors from the main sources of traffic – Digg, Facebook, Google, Yahoo! , Bing, and Twitter – the number of times that visitors came to the place mentioned. If the visitor to the site four or more times during a week that the visitor was seen as a “loyal” to the user. The results showed that Facebook was by far the best provider of loyal users – over 20% of all Facebook visitors visited the site four or more times per week. Digg came in second with just over 16%.Then came search engines, Yahoo! leading the way with over 15% of referrals to be loyal. Google and Bing were virtually even slightly below 12%, and Twitter came in last place overall with just over 11%.While Google wins, of course, in absolute numbers, if the owner of the website may lead a thousand people to your site through Google, or you can drive the same number through Facebook, Facebook seems to be the way forward to create a loyal reader.Loyalty website:
