Email Management, Offered by Mimecast

The email management specialist Mimecast delivery of SaaS email archiving, continuity, security and control, has made a major upgrade of its flagship unified management platform for email.  With the launch of new features to broaden the scope of its cloud-based services. The new offering provides advanced features and capabilities of email solutions on the premise of flexibility, cost-effective SaaS delivery model.
The new functionality enables companies to address increasing industry regulations and concerns about data retention and e-Discovery. Archive for the company, the management of mailboxes and data protection features enable companies to manage their inboxes, while preventing data leaks.
Nancy Stagg, director of Fish and Richardson said,”E-discovery and document retention requirements, combined with the increasing volume, make it difficult to email management to legal practitioners and their staff. Law firms and corporate law departments must deal with many problems related compliance, including the storage of email evidence, review of large files of personal user storage (PST), e-mail documentation search queries of keywords and authentication maintenance and proper chain of custody.
Moreover, these issues, and the time and expense that may be associated with managing e-discovery, may cause tension between business organizations and their outside counsel. Mimecast enables companies and their lawyers, providing a complete solution that meets these needs of e-discovery, using an intuitive user interface in a simple package, Saas-handed.”Mimecast is the first vendor to bridge the gap between e-mail file and SaaS sophistication of local solutions through the introduction of MSEs (Mimecast Services for Exchange). This is a slight change software component that binds directly with Mimecast SaaS environment.
Neil Murray, chief technology officer of Mimecast added,”The majority of organizations are demanding more from their software and email management. This is mainly due to the need to integrate e-mail files directly with Exchange environments for compliance and mailbox management. Mimecast is focused on ensuring that by moving to SaaS, IT administrators will not have to renounce the sophistication of the applications or control.”
Mimecast also introduced several new capabilities to its unified platform for managing email, such as granular, Case Management eDiscovery and message retention.
