Future Facilities Introduces CFD Modeling in New Data Center Design and Simulation Software

Submitted by on 15 September, 2021 – 4:32 am

San Jose, CA – Facilities for the future of North America, the leading provider of software simulation data center infrastructure, today announced the release of version 6 of 6SigmaDC, a group of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools . 6SigmaDC version 6 provides extended modeling capability and more capacity in its class data center infrastructure management (DCIM) integration.

“The integration of virtual model 6SigmaFM Fund DCIM real-time monitoring and allow teams and facilities to manage a data center from side to side as one team,” said Sherman Ikemoto, General Manager of Future Service North America. “The data center managers and IT are able to manage the system’s cooling efficiency, ensure the availability of IT, reduce annual operating costs and realize the full potential of the facility using a model of” time real CFD can receive a steady stream of updates to 3rd party systems. ”

6SigmaFM version 6 has the ability to import automatically in real time energy consumption data, temperature data and changes to IT assets (moves, adds, changes and decommissions) in the Virtual Fund – making it the center critical operational information.

Tools and 6SigmaITM 6SigmaFM used together allow the full potential of a facility that is available without compromising safety or operational integrity. For example, in-depth analysis of the cooling capacity to include the area and limits the dynamic range of the cooling cabinet is now possible to allow installation of the equipment more flexible. 6SigmaITM interface has been enhanced to allow the IT administrator to propose changes in the IT configuration based on quantitative data distribution facilities, energy consumption, cooling capacity, weight, and the network of ports-all available at the click of a button.

6SigmaDC version 6 introduces a number of important – the technical characteristics that make 6SigmaDC more complete and easier to use than ever – and subtle. 6SigmaRoom version 6 supports ACU detailed internal models, so that the air flow characteristics much more realistic to

Fund for the virtual models. The circular or rectangular duct sections are easy to include in the virtual model Fund, even when the flow is required within them. These lines have the full capacity of the originals – which allows ventilation, transition pieces and the branches to be added when necessary. In addition, improving the features of version 6 allows users to study the effect of wind and solar radiation on buildings and modular containers. Users can perform analysis in general “built environment” and “data centers” in a complete tool.

6SigmaRoomVersion 6 simplifies the task of creating models of complex systems. The models can now be used in the scale room for the design of equipment detailed. 6SigmaDC expansive library of models of cabinet has been enhanced in version 6 with the introduction of full computer catalogs. Cabinets can now be composed of a catalog of the pieces made, so that the consistency and variety in a much simpler package.

The inclusion of new objects, as internal walls, the lights on the walls, raised floors and ceiling panels turn, allows the user to create a virtual model of the Fund to be more representative of actual conditions.

Last year, future service announced that Cisco Systems is a savings of $ 120,000 per year through the simulation of your data center with 6 SigmaDC.
