GreenSoft Expands ATC Data Center

Submitted by on 10 July, 2018 – 4:33 pm

The project has increased more than 200 percent the available cupboards for GSI’s shoppers, and makes a contribution to the organization’s continuing development attempts to build out more of its 77,000 square-foot facility in a “modular fashion” to meet business expansion. Designed with the corporation hosting customer to mind, the recently expanded information center contains 36-inch raised floors, high-density power capability, and a cooling infrastructure significant enough to support any blade technology and high-density hosting application.

The facility uses Liebert power conditioning and battery backup appliances to supply five thousand “usable” watts of clean A / B power to each cupboard in the expanded information center. The 30-ton Liebert precision cooling and humidity control units generate almost 2 tons of cooling capacity for each cabinet. “The requirement for managed hosting services continues to grow as our clients and prospects seek power and cooling capacities sufficient to support the augmented computing infrastructures of today and tomorrow,” announces Robin Greenhagen, GSI’s founder and chief technology officer. “This expansion will address those desires by delivering well over 2 hundred watts of trustworthy power per square foot, while simply maintaining all environment controls inside cushty and efficient operating ranges.

We are pleased to be in a position to bring this extra capacity on line now to support mission-critical computing with these sophisticated cooling, power, redundancy and supportability capabilities. ATT built originally the AirWorld Technology Center before it was bought by GSI in 2006.

Since that time, the Firm has made many restorations and modernization upgrades to the facility, including power and cooling enhancements, security and video surveillance initiatives, fire detection and suppression measures, and network enlargement and protection. In late 2007, GSI moved its company offices to ATC from its other enterprise-class information center in downtown Kansas City. GSI is one of the biggest commercial information center operators in the Midwest.

As well as the AirWorld Technology Center, the company owns and operates 2 other major info centers in the Kansas City area, all of which are backed by industry standards, including PCI, Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA, ISO 17799, COBIT, COSO and SAS70. GSI provides managed hosting services to corporations with complicated infrastructure, connectivity, or data integrity and compliance wants
