Host Dime Builds New Brazil Data Center

Submitted by on 3 February, 2014 – 4:35 am

The new info center seriously expands the hosting capacity of the firm’s local division, HostDime Brazil. When HostDime opened its world division in Brazil virtually 3 years back, there were no intentions to open a data center facility regionally. However, the quickly enlarging requirement for locally-hosted services in Brazil has made such a facility necessar. The new info center will give HostDime Brazil a substantial advantage in both reduced costs and larger accessibility. The firm’s current purchaser base of over five thousand just from the Brazil division also has been generating a requirement for local servers, and with over two hundred p.c expansion every year in the division, this facility enlargement will lead to further expansion.

Found in equivalent to Class-A office space, the new info center is down the hall from HostDime Brazil’s business office in the same complicated. The information center suite is entirely supported by an uninterruptable power supply and generator to reduce service interruption in the event of a power-grid failure. HostDime originally selected Joo Pessoa, Paraba to host its operations due to the town’s record as natural-disaster-free, with no hurricanes or tremors in its history. It’s also the easternmost town in the Americas and is frequently cited as the second greenest town in the world, announces HostDime.

The information center is also one of few facilities in the northerly part of Brazil helping companies to host outside of the saturated southern part of Brazil like So Paulo. “Brazil has a population of over 2 hundred million and is one of the swiftest growing online nations in the world,” claims Emmanuel Vivar, HostDime Manager . “While eighty p.c of Brazilian websites are hosted out of the country due to lower costs, the completion of this facility is fundamental to changing that eighty % into an important provider of expansion for our Brazilian division.

By hosting sites hereabouts, latency can be reduced to under 75ms, compared to the more than 150ms latency for websites hosted on US-based servers. This marks the second major build for HostDime this year. In March, the company opened a 1,500 square foot dedicated purchaser support facility just 10 miles east of its world HQ in central Orlando.
