HP and VMware Accelerate the Move to Private Clouds

Today at VMworld 2010, VMware and HP announced an agreement to offer a virtualization solution, reference architectures and IT services to help customers accelerate the deployment of cloud computing and IT as a service.

Integrated, end to end solution offers greater Infrastructure Cloud Computing time

To help customers better control and management of physical and virtual cloud infrastructure, VMware and HP is creating an integrated and complete infrastructure of the combination tag of the new VMware vCloud ™ Director with HP Matrix HP BladeSystem and Cloud Maps. The HP Cloud Map for VMware vCloud Director can be imported directly into customers ‘environments’ Matrix to rapidly deploy new infrastructure VMware vCloud. Through the integration of the matrix and VMware vCloud Director, customers can scale virtualized resource groups to adapt quickly to changing business demands. The integration will be available as a technology preview later this year.

With the new extension of HP Insight Control for VMware VirtualCenter ™, customers can optimize their IT environments by reducing complexity through better management. HP Insight Control for VMware VirtualCenter Server provides management capabilities of HP hardware virtualization administrators, enabling comprehensive monitoring, remote control and optimization of energy directly from VMware VirtualCenter Server console. To physical and virtual combined, customers can reduce server proliferation by regulating health and performance of virtual machines and the underlying host systems that support them from a single pane of glass. built-in troubleshooting, remote control powerful and dynamic power management further simplify data center operations while reducing risks and costs of energy.

Reference architectures reduce the risk

VMware and HP will develop reference architectures that offer integrated, validated solutions to SMB, enterprise and cloud environments and client virtualization. The reference architectures provide a comprehensive IT integrated solutions and deployment of best practices. This makes it easy for customers to deploy virtualized the right solution for your business needs with confidence. The reference architectures that benefit from the collaboration of business 10 years, will be available later this year.

Rate cloud services adoption

Under the agreement, HP will provide consulting, integration and support services to customers deploying the VMware virtualization software on a HP Converged Infrastructure framework. New services that are available today, accelerating the transition of customers to the cloud to enable data center consolidation and deployment of virtual desktops.

HP at VMworld

At VMworld 2010, VMware and HP are demonstrating the integration of Matrix and HP BladeSystem with VMware vCloud CloudStart HP Insight Control Manager for VMware VirtualCenter Server and client virtualization. Visit booth 1008 in the Solutions Exchange floor.
