Hurricane Electric Establishes PoP in Phoenix NAP Datacenter

Phoenix PAN ®, a new generation of data centers and the point of network access, today announced that Hurricane Electric, an Internet backbone and leading provider of placement, has established a Point of Presence (PoP) in the PAN downtown Phoenix.

Hurricane Electric provides IPv4 and IPv6 traffic solutions on the same connection at speeds of up to 10 Gbps or more. With its own global network, the company has 45 major exchange points with connectivity to more than 1,500 different networks. The use of the topology of the elastic fiber, Hurricane Electric has at least four redundant paths across the United States, two separate paths between the U.S. and Europe, and rings in Europe and Asia.

Hurricane Electric first deployed IPv6 in its backbone network worldwide in 2001. It is one of the few pillars of global Internet that is not dependent on native IPv6 tunnels own requirements for IPv6 connectivity. IPv6 is provided as a basic service that every customer is provided connectivity IPv6 and IPv4 connectivity factor. Hurricane Electric connects more than 900 partners IPv6 backbones.
