IT Firm PAETEC to Open Data Center in Massachusetts

That is firm PAETEC Holding (www.paetec.com) announced Thursday its plans for expansion, high-tech center data in Andover, Massachusetts, about 24 miles north of Boston.

The company currently has 1.4 million square feet of data center facilities in Bethlehem and Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.

This new facility marks the first in a series of new centers the company plans to open nationwide over the next five years.

Scheduled to open in June, the data center will serve and support companies in New England, along the east coast and across the country.

“This data center will meet the growth data directed to the demands of large enterprises around the country,” says Charles Field, vice president and general manager for the New England region at PAETEC. “As a common business applications are moving towards the cloud, there will be at your service with industry leading service to our customers have come to expect.”

Two floors and 92,700 square feet in facilities with over 40,000 square feet of raised floor space for customers Put on your servers, routers and other communication equipment.

Backed by a team of 11 with 24-hour Technical Assistance Center, the Center has redundant power to the network, supported by five horsepower for 1400, 1 MW generators with 30,000 gallons of diesel fuel.

The center has 2,000 tons of cooling capacity to keep the center at the optimum temperature for the client computer.

In addition to the offerings of the standard data center, customers will have access to PAETEC range of services such as data backup and recovery, dedicated server hosting services for network security and the ability to centralize an IP – PBX based on the data center to serve employees.

The center will be protected by the latest in physical security, including precautions against floods, fires and natural disasters. Customers also have access to the hall of the installation and construction-in the fitness center.
