Lexent Metro Connect Joins Switch and Data’s GeoReachSM

Switch and Data (NASDAQ: SDXC) officially announced today that it plans Lexent subway connection, it has become part of Switch and Data GeoReach Program. Lexent subway connection has also completed construction of a low latency network path of dark fiber to Switch and Data North Bergen site located at 5851 Westside Avenue in New Jersey.

Lexent provides dark fiber interconnection between the switch and the data north of Bergen and 111 Eighth Avenue, New York, the sites of placement and other leaders of New York data centers Metro and financial exchanges. This criticism, low latency interconnect provides access to high performance switch and data customers in both facilities.

“Providing reliable connectivity services and affordable networking solutions are the common objectives of Lexent shares with Switch and Data,” said Ray La Chance, President and CEO of Lexent subway connection. “With our ultra low latency of dark fiber routes, Switch and customers can benefit from secure data connectivity for high bandwidth, cost-effective manner compared to traditional transportation options such as Ethernet private line connectivity .

Switch and Data GeoReach program is a select group of suppliers who have built their networks to meet the needs of the community of high frequency trading. GeoReach participants have designed optimal routes Switch and Data’s Financial EcoCentersSM each regional liquidity providers to meet the needs of the most sensitive to latency infrastructure. Companies can focus on their core operations and add each new ATS Exchange or through a low cost, minimal footprint, while maintaining ultra low latency communication over the financial markets.

Switch and Data EcoCenters total of an ecosystem of pre-and post-trade service provider, buy-side and sell side communities in the switch data and sites located in the geographical center of the main providers of liquidity in New York and Toronto.
