Mezeo Releases Version 3.0, Names New Partners

Cloud storage software company Software Meze (www.mezeo.com) announced this week, from level 1 to transform the host research Summit in Las Vegas, which is preparing for the release of version 3.0 of its Meze Cloud Storage Platform in December 2009, promising a “significant improvement” for the product.

According to the press release, Meze Cloud Storage Platform 3.0 includes the policy pursued by the geo-location and geo-replication, enabling organizations to define where objects are stored, and distributed across geographically distributed networks for the purpose of content delivery.

It will also provide additional support for Amazon S3 API, which facilitates migration of applications developed for the solution to the Amazon cloud-based storage software Meze’s. There will be new options for access to common system files from the Internet and network file system, and REST Web services APIs, Meze native Windows client and WebDAV.

And that will provide synchronization capabilities through a new target synchronization client for Windows label that will allow users to synchronize their desktops to the storage cloud.

“We have gained significant ground in the area of IT service provider and hope that the industry will be delighted with these important new capabilities,” says President and CEO Steve Meze Lesem, quoted in the press release from the company. “Cloud storage market continues to mature, and this new version is a reflection of what our service provider customers need to be successful. This is to help service providers to solve their unique business challenges. The Meze solution offers options, complete security in a global business environment and a real cloud-scale Web environment – not just a cluster file system. ”

Meze says the new version will be backward compatible, enabling customers begin to migrate into place.

Along with announcing the new version, Meze announced several new partnerships this week.

On Tuesday, the company announced that managed hosting provider Layered Tech (www.layeredtech.com) had become Prime Minister of the company hosting partner program, a list of companies that includes, among others, NaviSite and SoftLayer. According to the page on the website Meze, the program includes a “cloud storage preparation team” that works to ensure the successful launch of the program by the host partner.

“We are very excited about the business opportunities in the storage space of clouds, and being a Premier Hosting Partner Meze allow us to rapidly enter this market,” said Terrance George W. Bush, COO and CIO of layers Tech, said in the statement of Meze. “The experience of Meze in the world, hosting provider is clearly demonstrated in their approach to their technology and business terms. We are looking forward to a mutually beneficial relationship.”

Finally, Meze announced it had partnered with Nexenta Systems (www.nexenta.com), a developer of storage systems outdoor company to provide a “full service offering storage enabled the clouds.”

Solution of NexentaStor Nextenta says Meze, is ideal for providing a scalable and high performance to complement the infrastructure software platform Meze. The joint solution will enable service providers to offer advanced storage clouds and bring them to market faster.

“The software fits well with NexentaStor Meze solutions because the company actually provides NexentaStor class storage performance and data integrity as well as significant savings in hardware independent, aware of the virtualization solution. We NexentaStor provides an ideal base for cloud storage solutions, “says Leshem. “To compete in today’s” eat or be eaten ‘environment, service providers need the cloud-scale performance that our partnership with Nexenta offers. ”

Each of the ads aired by Meze this week from level 1 to transform the host research Summit in Las Vegas, where Meze was the gold sponsor, and Leshem participated in a panel on emerging technologies and storage solutions around clouds.
