Microsoft Shows Web Hosting SharePoint Server 2010

Today, Microsoft Corp. ‘s SharePoint Conference, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced the public beta of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and Microsoft Office 2010 will be available in November and revealed some of the new SharePoint Server 2010 capabilities first time.

“By mastering the overflow of information across systems and SharePoint technologies enables organizations to prosper,” said Ballmer. “SharePoint 2010 is the largest and most important release of SharePoint to date. When combined with Microsoft Office 2010, SharePoint 2010 is to transform the efficiency by connecting employees through a single collaborative platform for business.”

During his speech, Ballmer spoke in general terms about SharePoint Server as an enterprise collaboration platform and highlighted three key areas. One was how organizations can respond quickly to business needs with a streamlined development platform that makes it easy to create rich content and collaborative applications. Another issue was the site of increased ability of Internet companies that help drive revenue and retain customers in a single platform. The third was the choice and flexibility between the premises and solutions of the clouds. In the event, Microsoft showcased the breadth of SharePoint Server 2010 that runs from the workflow wikis, while Ballmer’s speech highlighted the features and capabilities including:

The addition of two new SKUs for SharePoint-oriented Internet sites, including one organized at the premises and offer

Connectivity Services Companies that allow developers the ability to connect to the line of business data or Web service in SharePoint Server and Office client
Rich APIs and support for Silverlight, the representational state transfer (REST) and Language-Integrated Query (LINQ) to help developers quickly build applications on the SharePoint platform

SharePoint enterprise features online, such as Excel Services and InfoPath Forms Services, which make it easy to use, share, protect and manage interactive forms throughout an organization

Microsoft SharePoint 2010 is part of the next wave of Microsoft Office-related products, including Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Project 2010, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and Microsoft Visio 2010, which are designed to give people the best experience of productivity through of computers, phones and browsers.
