NaviSite Names Chief Security Officer
Web hosting provider NaviSite (www.navisite.com) announced Tuesday that Allison has appointed Allen to the newly created position of chief of security.
Allison previously served as vice president of managed services at NaviSite.
This is the third major event NaviSite announced in the last two months.
Last month the company named Dennis Sherwood as general manager of the western region, and August, Brooks Borcherding was named CEO Arthur Becker after he resigned.
In his new role of CSOs, Allison is responsible for the development, implementation and management of companies NaviSite’s vision of IT security and risk management strategy.
It will also lead the organization’s security and compliance efforts for all service offerings NaviSite.

Allison has over 20 years of industry experience in information security.
He has held managerial and technical positions, including the development platform for cloud computing NaviSite, chief engineer and developer of managed security operations center, and the principal auditor and consultant for security programs in health information , government, electronic commerce and financial industries.
With experience in the areas of systems programming, network design and implementation of infrastructure and information security, Allison has won a number of certifications, including CCIE, CCSP, CISSP, MCSE, CCSE, and INFOSEC Professional.
He has also lectured at colleges and universities on the issue of information security and regulatory compliance.
