Netfirms Offers Domain Registration via Twitter
Netfirms customers can now Tweet a request for domain registration company’s Twitter account. If the domain name is available, Netfirms Tweet registered automatically and a confirmation message to the client.
To exploit the domain registration through new Twitter features, customers can register for a free account Netfirms in the company’s Web site and add a “Profile Account” after logging in.
New customers must buy a domain or signing with an existing domain you already own, while existing customers can skip this step.
Then, customers should add your Twitter account information within your Netfirms Control Panel, then send a direct message to Twitter Netfirms (http://twitter.com/Netfirms) with the message “mynewdomain reg. com, and send a direct message confirming Netfirms domain registration.
The company offers a Youtube tutorial that guides customers through the process of registering the domain through Twitter.
“Our customers are busy need for ways to save time and increase productivity,” says Thomas Savundra, CEO of Netfirms. “Now, you can register domain names and business staff immediately with a quick tweet – even while in motion.”
The company also announced it is giving the new iPod Touch 8GB, once a week for the next four weeks. Additionally, the company will give away a new Apple MacBook in the fourth week and final.
Customers can enter the contest by either contest details retweeting your friends on Twitter, or register your domain name with Netfirms comes through your Twitter account.
