Panasonic Develops 50-inch Full HD 3D PDP and High-Precision Active Shutter Glasses

Panasonic Corporation has developed a 50-inch Full HD compatible 3D plasma display (PDP) and glasses of high precision active shutter allowing quality viewing of film, true to life 3D images into living rooms. In order to bring Full HD 3D televisions in the market in 2010, the company steps up its efforts in the development of related technology.

Prototype 3D Full HD TV and glasses are displayed at the CEATEC JAPAN 2009 to be held 6 to 10 October in Makuhari Messe in Chiba city, east of Tokyo.

The PDP and evolved glasses Panasonic Full HD Plasma 3D Home Theater System, which was developed in 2008 and consisting of a 103-inch PDP and a Blu-ray Disc. The PDP has a prototype 50-inch screen, which is expected to be the most popular size for home theaters.
