Virtualization and automation leader, Parallels, today made an announcement about partnerships with Microsoft, VeriSign and InterNetX, to launch the opening Parallels APAC Peak , the 1st large-scale Asia-Pacific version of Parallels established yearly US event. The one-day event, to be held on 25th Sep 2009 in Singapore, gives players access to firsthand updates from industry leaders on the way forward for cloud computing and its prospects. The Parallels APAC Summit 2009 will supply a platform for industry leaders to share their vision and secrets on SaaS and cloud-based models for augmenting average money per user ( ARPU ) and improving overall profits.
Industry directions and updates on solutions to enhance ARPU will be covered under important Product and Industry sessions. The Parallels APAC Peak 2009 Product Sessions will benefit players in building competitive advantages and improving the base line. The Industry Sessions will see industry leaders present strategic revelations on categorical solutions which will support and improve cloud-based businesses.
“VeriSign is looking forward to taking part in the Parallels APAC Summit,” said Michael Lin, VP and General Chief of SSL at VeriSign. “Together, VeriSign SSL Certificates, user authentication products, and domain name services offer Parallels partners and Web hosts around the planet a trustworthy online environment to conduct business. “Microsoft and Parallels have enjoyed successful collaborations over time and we keep growing this partnership, particularly in Asia,” recounted Alvin Lim, Senior Director, East Asia Software and Services of Microsoft.
“By offering our best-in-breed products like Microsoft Exchange and Sharepoint, with Parallels Automation, we deliver the market valuable solutions for growth. “Parallels has proved to be a reliable partner over the years, and we’re pleased to support Parallels as our favorite partner with collusion in the 1st Parallels APAC Summit,” declared Hakan Ali, Director of Selling and Sales of InterNetX.
“Being one of the largest global registrars offering more than three hundred ccTLDs and gTLDs, we wish to gain more market share in the East. Parallels’ APAC Peak provides us a good platform for our endeavors. The Parallels APAC Peak comes on the heels on the corporation’s recently revealed growth plans in APAC, where major investment will be made to support its growing base of more than 1,000 company users and over 2 hundred partners.
This includes new offices in Australia and South Korea, and a rise in headcount for the Parallels APAC team, as well as existing offices in Beijing, Tokyo, Mumbai and Singapore. An IDC release1 advises that spending on IT cloud computing services could reach US$ 42 bln by 2012 and Parallels foresees a major proportion of this market will be in the Asia-Pacific area, where there’s bigger approval and so anticipated quick uptake of less expensive cloud computing solutions.
The APAC area presents substantial opportunity for Parallels products like Parallels Desktop for Mac and Parallels Workstation extreme. “Current business conditions have made chances for hosting service providers in Asia-Pacific who have the foresight and agility to execute and capture the rewards. Recognising the fantastic expansion potential of the area, Parallels is expanding its APAC operations, beginning with our first APAC Summit,” stated Serguei Beloussov, CEO and general manager of Parallels.
“This is a rare opportunity for players to network with industry leaders, sharing revelations on strategic trends in cloud computing, virtualization, SaaS, automation, and more. 1 primarily based on IDC release : IDC Discovers Cloud Computing Entering Period of Accelerating Adoption and Stood to Capture IT Spending Expansion Over the subsequent Five Years.
