Q&A: Liran Eshel

Somewhat saturated market for storage solutions in the cloud can be difficult for companies to differentiate their products from competition.

Tag CTERA service provider (www.ctera.com) is hoping to change that with the launch of what it calls the industry’s first hybrid solution cloud storage that incorporates a backup server and bare metal .

Tag CTERA family attached storage combines tag and hybrid local storage, data protection and collaboration in a single centralized management solution based devices.

Along with the hybrid storage solution, CTERA has expanded its global network of distributors to make available their solutions to more than 20,000 VARs and MSPs worldwide.

These partners include Interwork Technologies based in Canada, ALTIMATE Group based in Belgium, Spain, based in Tune, New York, Seneca, Australia and New Zealand based whitegold, based in Italy ITWay, systems-based EPA in Poland and Israel-based CF Group.

In an email interview with the buzz, CTERA co-founder and CEO of Liran Eshel discussed the company’s Cloud-attached storage and its new partnership initiative to expand.

Buzz: How does the new tag hybrid solution differ from other comparable solutions out on the market?

Liran Eshel: CTERA is the first company to offer a vast cloud of hybrid platform of services for data protection and storage services designed specifically for the emerging network of various levels of DAV, the ISP, MSP and VARs that are shaping the cloud eco-system.

Buzz: How CTERA Attached Storage Cloud benefit of channel partners, resellers and end users?

LE: The Cloud CTERA fast storage solution combines local storage devices networked to the CTERA Portal, which is offered in the data center editions of SaaS, empowerment “Master MSP” to work with multiple channel partners and resellers, while distributors complete flexibility in choosing a provider of cloud infrastructure for its portfolio management.

Buzz: Who is the new hybrid solution tag intended for?

LE: Designed for MSPs and Value Added Resellers VARs, Deputy CTERA Cloud storage family combines tag and hybrid local storage, data protection and collaboration in a simple, centralized management based Devices. CTERA storage solutions are designed for SMBs and enterprise branch offices and are very cost-effective and easy to implement. With its expanded capabilities, cloud CTERA offline storage solution protects PCs, laptops and servers with backup roaming, both disk and file, stored locally and in the cloud.

Buzz: What is the pricing structure for solving hybrid cloud?

LE: pricing for the end user depends on the channel partners and service plan, which often is a package of equipment and services for the management tag. You can find an example of U.S. prices distributor here.

Buzz: What was CTERA criteria in deciding on these companies in particular as partners?
