Sentilla Tool Consolidates Energy Information
The latest offering offers a granular view of energy info at the hardware level, as well as a consolidated view of power use of all of the equipment in the info center. IT executives can now gather all of the energy info in the info center, whether from Sentilla’s Power research Unit or other, third party hardware, and integrate it into one standardised format for a single, mixed view.
The consolidated energy info lets IT executives set a baseline and create power use efficacy, the standard promoted by The Green Grid and other information center associations to supply a simplified strategy of measuring the ratio of power delivered to IT hardware to the full amount of power consumed by the info center.
By integrating third party device support, the solution is the first of its kind to offer a totally assembled dashboard which IT managers can use to trace energy waste and reduce facility overhead costs.
“The driving philosophy at Sentilla is to help IT and facilities bosses make info centers and other company facilities as energy-efficient as practicable, whether or not they are using Sentilla technology or other equipment,” says Bob Davis, Chairperson of Sentilla.
“Sentilla’s focus is helping firms rein in their operating costs noticeably by providing understanding, analysis and actions that make these environments more efficient.”. In Jan , Sentilla received a $7.5 million B round in funding from Onset Ventures and Claremont Stream Ventures.
