Yahoo to spend $100M to rejuvenate brand
The money is poured into a 15-month campaign to begin marketing next week. Yahoo provided a look Tuesday at the Advertising Week bombing in New York.
The ads are to run on TV, online and in other parts of the United States and nine other countries.
The ads will focus on Yahoo’s efforts to provide its nearly 600 million users worldwide with more ways to customize the pages they see on Yahoo, even if it means on the basis of material from other sites.
The amount of messages to a theme that Carol Bartz, CEO of Yahoo has been on everyone’s lips since his hiring in January to end a three-year slide in profits.
