Israeli Telco Bezeq International Expands Colo Agreement with Interxion at Frankfurt Facility
Bezeq International (www.bezeqint.net), a major international Internet and telecommunications provider based in Israel, has extended its agreement with the European placement neutral Interxion data center operator (www.interxion.com), taking space center Interxion in Frankfurt, Germany.
According to its announcement Monday, the new agreement significantly expands the longstanding relationship between the companies. Driven by the growing international customer demand for an international series of hostel and data services, Bezeq FRA expanded its infrastructure in Interxion data center 5.
Bezeq International FRA took the space of 3 Interxion facilities in 2006 to deal with its European traffic as well as a basis for the provision and expansion of its international services. Since then, companies have forged a strong working relationship, and Bezeq successfully developed a broad portfolio of telecommunications solutions and high-end network and security services to multinational companies.
“We have developed an excellent working relationship with Interxion, and was a natural step to expand our European with them since the installation of Interxion became a fundamental part of our spine,” Bezeq International professional services operations director Pinhas Benny said in a statement. “Our relationship with Interxion creates value for our customers and generate revenue for us. We have other suppliers in Europe, but Interxion is by far the most important for our business model.”
